Sunday, 2 October 2022: Back onboard Purr

 

We talked to Dick Sheldon to secure a slip at Maple Beach Marina for next season. He’s got quite the retirement plan since he owns at least a dozen of these slips.  With seasonal rentals, he’s set for a good chunk of change each year. 

We were back in rehab mode — we pulled up carpet and then applied spatter paint on the floor.  It looks SOOOO much better. 

We stopped in Michigan City to watch the Packers and an ugly win over the Patriots. It sure would be nice if Aaron Rogers would show up for an entire game.
We picked up car parts for Justin’s Dakota. He found a source here in Michigan for a hood, a tailgate and a bumper. 

We made a big decision last week regarding our travel to Mexico. Katherine will come to Green Bay with Tessa, her ailing French Bull Dog who can no longer fly. We will then caravan to Celestún. So looks as if this is the trip that’s driven by geriatric dogs.  The stock market continues to plummet so I’ll just look forward to our trip south.
