Wednesday, 31 October 2018: Celestun

Woke up this morning to a flat tire ... aargh! We’d had a great breakfast in our new little hotel and headed out to a squillion errands. First stop Walmart where I headed out for household items while Justin learned that no Walmart in Merida has the size tires we need. Next stop Kia where we were told the tires would be delivered in an hour and maybe another hour to install. More than four hours later we were able to continue with our errands. this meant Justin was driving home in the dark again. Grief! Justin and Gemma waiting at Kia.   Gemma just has no sense of her tongue.

When we got back to Casa Colibri Ishmael, his son Freddy and Abraham were putting together beds. They looked great.  But wait, they brought mattresses too!  Oh no!  We have mattresses coming from Super Colchones on Saturday!  What a mess. Can we cancel our order?  Can he return the mattresses?  He’d never be able to sell four king sized mattress in Celestún. We never said we wanted mattress too.  We never talked prices for mattresses. Ishmael thought we would need “complete.”  He thought he was taking care of us. Total communication mess up. What a crappy ending to a crappy day.
