Tuesday, 21 November 2017: Chapala

Picked up laundry to find that they really did a good job here.  There was time today for a mani/pedi for Paula while Justin continued his Spanish lessons in earnest.  We took a sunset boat ride out on the lake. 

We left Gemma at home and, most likely, she was happy to stay there and have a day when she didn't have to get in the car.  We bought a ThunderShirt and a car seat for her since she gets quite anxious in the car driving on Mexican roads.  One too many "topes" (the Mexican speed bumps that cousin Mike referred to as "car launchers") and one too many times of her getting slammed into the dashboard and she starts to shiver.  She doesn't really like it when I get her all tethered in, but she does settle quickly.  She is safer and that is the bottom line.
