Monday, 20 November 2017: Chapala

Today is Mexican Revolution Day. Everyone was out to celebrate independence from Spain in 1813. We were still recuperating from the trails of yesterday while bands and dances and horses gathered for the parade.
We dropped our laundry off as we headed out of town toward Ajijic. (MXP 68 -- about $3.50). It will be ready tomorrow at 1:00pm.
Seafood at Walmart
On our trip to the local Walmart we saw dozens of retired expats...so this is where they all hang out (unfortunately).   Justin took the car to get it washed.  The guy was from Topeka Kansas. Justin left Gemma with the four year old son.  He did a great job on our car.

We had Thai for lunch at "Simply Thai" in Ajijic.  There will be plenty of opportunity for fish and tacos. Better to take advantage of the opportunity for diversity. There was a Thai massage place next door but it was closed for Independence Day.  I had my first first claricot of the season.  Last winter, I learned that I quite liked claricot; the beverage is a bit like sangria bit lighter and more refreshing.  It was good, but made with fruit cocktail rather than with fresh fruits.
Gotta love those "cat-chews"
