Thursday, 23 November 2017: Puerto Vallarta

Today was Thanksgiving.  We are truly blessed as we have so much for which to be grateful.  Both Justin and I spent some time this morning contacting friends and family.
We took a cab to the Malecon and had a nice long walk taking in the sights and sounds of the beach-side city.  The public art along the way was noteworthy.

According to Trip Advisor, Daiquiri Dicks is the best restaurant in PV. When it was time for dinner, we followed their advice.  I started with a chipotle margarita that was scrumptious.  Next, we shared a cream of pumpkin soup topped with apple matchsticks.  For our entrees Justin had a linguine dish with shrimp and artichokes while I went with the traditional Thanksgiving offering of turkey, dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes and cranberry relish.  The wait staff was very solicitous and Gemma was a hit.  Later, walking home through the more historic part of town, she continued to steal the show.

Wev'e had great luck landing pet
friendly hotels along the way.
