Thursday, 26 January 2017: San Miguel de Allende

With today as our last full day in SMA we had a full day in store.  First get the car to the car wash.  Our parking spot, while very conveniently located between our condo and the Mercado, is right under a tree.  Lots of birds like that tree in the evening.  Along with that decoration, there is still sand in the car from South Padre Island.  The car needs to be washed.  Dropped the car off and headed to get pedicures -- another important stop.  We were a bit early so we headed to a restaurant right across the street from the Aqua Spa for another great breakfast.  I wish we had time to go back here as there were several other items not the menu I'd like to try.  However, the fish pedicure awaited.  Justin headed out to collect the car while I got a mani too.  Full detail inside and out on the car ran us a steep $10 inside and out.

Dinner with Mike at a restaurant that offered fabulous food and a view was on the agenda for the evening.  We headed upstairs at The Pegaso in time to see the sun set over SMA.  I watched the bartender prepare my clericot.  I need to practice to perfect my technique.  Next we ordered one of the chef's specialties, chile en nogado, poblano pepper stuffed with beef, raisins, and nuts covered with a creamy walnut sauce and topped with pomegranate seeds -- yummy!  Our walk home was bittersweet as we bid farewell to our little town/
