Welcome to Bangkok. After a bit of exploring in our new neighborhood, we decided on brunch at our very own hotel. Justin had Pad Thai and I had a delicious pork and basil dish over rice with an egg. We both ordered our dishes very mild as we checked out the lay of the land of the spicy department. I doubt we will want more heat and I am confident we will eat here again.
Next, on to the Hop on Hop off Boat. As expected, there are great views from the river.
We saw a Navy Wives Association Shop. American. Closed. Not just closed, but paper covering all the windows, as in permanently closed. Right beside the Royal Thai Navy Club. Hmmm?

Thai shabu-shabu for dinner. Dining alfresco river-side at sunset was a great ending to our day. This is the most cooking we’ve done in weeks. The Thai dish is different from the Japanese version so we didn’t really know what we were doing, but we figured it out.
