Packers fall to the Broncos and it is likely that Micah Parsons is out for the season. We were up in time for the 4:25 kickoff. This is not good.
We did see sunrise however.
We indulged ourselves in a nap after we’d arranged our transportation trans to Bangkok for tomorrow. Licking our wounds, we were then ready to climb the over 400 steps to Khoa Chong Krachok monastery and Wat Thamakaran. The write-ups may say that the monkeys are playful. I’d tell you they were creepy, but then, I’d have told you that all monkeys are creepy and there were just too many of them… everywhere as you are climbing. Once at the top, there are doors that keep them out of the temple area thankfully. Yuk! The views are spectacular and well worth the climb.
After our descent, we had a nice long walk back along the beach and dinner. My new favorite Thai food is pad see ew — broad noodles with meat and veggies and a rich, savory and slightly sweet sauce. I’ve eaten it at several price points and they’ve almost all been great. I am also enjoying papaya salad!
On our tuktuk going home, we saw that the laundry was still open. We asked the driver to take us back, picked up our laundry early. The little lady was confused but it saves us all the trip in the morning.
The day is done.
