Sunday, 7 December 2025: last full day in Cambodia

We took it slow on this morning.  We might have needed some time to breathe after all the culture we’ve absorbed.

We whiled away too much time looking at hotels, modes of transportation and sites to see along the way for the next legs of our journey.  Even with 90 days, we still need to have a plan.

Early-afternoon, we set out on a walk.  We were headed to Raffles to see the restored 1930’s French art deco hotel and the 14 acre surrounding gardens.

Justin got hit by a motorcycle!  And the stinkin’ girl just drove off!!  Crossing the street is a feat here always since most of the intersections are not controlled, but we were in the middle of a crosswalk!  She drove off!  Thankfully, Justin is fine, we think. He’s got some road rash on his elbows but he hit his head.  I know his pride is wounded, but she friggin’ just rode off!

We did make it to Raffles; the pool looked great and I’m sure the rooms that are well over $1,000 are exquisite.  The lobby was unassuming, and the formal gardens were impeccably manicured.  The cloud that was cast over our visit remained.  Thankfully, we had massages booked for 4pm.

All around the country we see "gyms"
throughout the towns.  Easy access for all.

Wood carving from within our hotel -- magnificent.
