Saturday, 30 March 2019: Merida

We made our last trip to Merida for the season today.  We’ve bought supplies we know Abraham will need for the summer.  Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and dog and cat food.  Bags and bags of dog food and cat food.  Most items are so much cheaper in Merida than we’d ever be able to find them in Celestún.

We stopped by to see Mack in Hunucma on the way home.  He had said to come back on the 1st but there is no way he could handle completion and installation before we leave and we were just too curious.  Thankfully, he is now headed in a direction we like.  He was apologetic when he said he'd need more time  We were fine with him taking longer to get the closets the way we want them!   We've postponed completion until we return in the fall.

Tucan made from tire -- cute yard art!

Dinner with Roger and Chris at Playa Maya.  They have a new chef; our dinner was ok, nothing to really write home about but a nice change and the company certainly was great.

David came over earlier in the week to measure for kitchen cabinets  and provide us with an estimate.  We want to be able to compare David’s work to that of Fabian.  I think Mack is probably out of this dance.  For now we wait for drawings and estimates.

The Oxxo is open!
