Sunday, 10 September 2017. Green Bay

This weekend was season opener for the Packers with a home game against the Seattle Seahawks.  Festivities were planned throughout Green Bay.  Kickoff weekend culminated last night with a concert at the newly opened Tailgate Zone. We met Sean after we hit the Pro Shop -- yes, I needed to get a new packer shirt for the game.  We weren't too impressed with either of the bands, Everclear and Blues Traveler, but it was fun to be in the midst of all the festivities.

Game day for Justin and me began at the Dysckesville Bowl for Bloody Mary's and cheese curds before we headed to the stadium.  We stood throughout the entire game and visited with fellow fans from both Green Bay and Seattle; we didn't even visit our seats.   We were 12th man at the ready but the team didn't even need us.  It was great!

The perfect culmination to the day was a trip to the Frosty Tip on the way home.  A 50's like drive-in in Dysckesville, this establishment is THE go to place for ice cream.  It is open only seasonally and today was their last day.  Justin and I certainly enjoyed one last treat!
