Sunday, 9 December 2018: Casa Colibri

Sunday this time of year means football, even in Mexico.  When we sat down to watch the Packers beat Atlanta, perhaps for the first time, I felt a sense of “home” in our apartment.  Yes, we’ve been watching tv in the evenings from time to time and I work on the computer in there often, but Justin’s work yesterday made it home.  We really do need to get the screens up in the bedroom so we can move in there to sleep.

The internet is abysmally slow and watching is almost painful, but, this is where we are, and this is what it is.

When we met with the closet guy in Merida, we weren’t really sold on the idea but we weren’t really sold on the idea of masonry either.  We’ve decided to put this project on the back burner for a while, at least until we figure out what we want.

Jesus came again today and hecomtinues to break down the concrete and stone structures in our courtyard.  Justin is having him build another wall of the stone and we are planning to put a fountain in the center section in the courtyard.  Big plans take lots of time.  Poco-y-poco has taken on a whole new meaning.
