Thursday, 1 March 2018: Celestun

Bizarro-world!  We live in Bizarro-world!

Justin and I took "stuff" over to Carol's to stash in her bodega. Kitchen equipment, bathroom bits and pieces, lawn and garden odds and ends. Stuff that we'd gathered over the last few months; stuff that will keep in storage.   Stuff that we thought Steve would reimburse us for, but ..

We settled up with Peter by paying rent for February and March and bid farewell to him. Peter had a group of 21 Canadians in this week for three meals a day. Today he served a quiche like Swiss pie. He shared a slice with us and it was simply delicious!!!  No wonder The Dolphin restaurant is such a success.

Went to see Ishmael; initially he'd said he'd buy our mattresses back for half price. But today he said he couldn't. We are getting Ishmael to move the mattresses to Carol's and maybe Sandra will be able to sell them. More reason to be on the road.

I never tire of sunsets in Celestun
Ric and Carol joined us for our second and final Farewell to Celestun dinner at Los Palamos.  Both Justin and I had Langosta con mantequilla  (lobster in butter) and it was pretty darn yummy.
