Friday, 2 March 2018: Yucatan

We took a few more things to Carol's.  Will we ever come back?  Yes.  Perhaps.  Who knows?
Justin gave a Packer shirt and hat to Grelty only after she practiced  the chant "Go Pack Go."    Nothing for her husband Beto as he is a Broncos fan.

We saw a Kia Sportage driving down Calle 12 rather slowly and thought it might be Steve.  We'd told Bijan we'd be gone by 8am and it was closer to 9:00.  Since we hadn't heard from Steve and because I still refused to believe that he was dead, we followed the car.  Yes, we really did; I wouldn't have put it past him at all to come check up on us.  Instead, it was a lady from Playa Maya who was, thankfully, oblivious to all of our drama.

We took the keys for Dan's back to Winkis and asked him to water some plants we left there.

We called Alanso to express our condolences but then learned, yes Steve really did die. He suffered a major heart attack last week.  We also learned that Gary struck up a deal with Gabby a week or so ago and now Gary was the potential buyer.  With our car totally packed and me thinking we'd only see Celestun in the rear view mirror, instead of programming the GPS for Valladolid and beginning our trek northward, we found ourselves bound for Merida to get a power of attorney in place... just in case. I drove and Justin penned yet another message to Bijon. Is there anyway we can get back in the game?

Out by the pool at Hotel Reforma Justin put the
finishing touches on yet another email
message to Bijon

Dinner this evening at Pancho's, right across the street from the Hotel Reforma.  We'd tried to eat here a few times before, but this evening we found that the hamburgesa was worth the wait!
