Wednesday, 6 February 2019: Casa Colibri

Dellene was back at work today and I was back at Pilates. We were on schedule but what about Evaristo?  What about Ricardo?  Did they show up?  Did I miss them?  To quote Steve, “Like the line in the center of the road, it is a guideline.”

Steve had a rough night and is thankful for pepto bismol. He was supposed to go fishing and had to cancel. He said there were dirty clothes involved and that was all I needed to know. Justin and I have been fortunate this season but it is kinda like  hurricane on the Gulf Coast of Texas, you know another one is just around the corner.

Work on our house continues … Ivan and his team are on day two of sorting out the plumbing on the south side of the house. Two gallons wasn't enough to finish the bedroom so we will get more green paint when we go in to Merida tomorrow.  We will be ready when Ricardo does show up.

There was a planned electricity outage today from 8am until 2 or 3. Time to go to the beach and to read a book.  I've started reading "Dreamland"  -- an account of the opioid crisis in America.  It is dark and depressing, but fascinating.

The wall across the street change shape almost daily.  Today the wall closest to the street was complete but there was a significant hole in the barrier closest to the beach.
This is a mess.
