Sunday, 5 December 2021: Celestun

When did it get to be December?  We’ve been here six weeks.  Maybe it is because we’ve spent so much time in Merida...sure doesn’t seem like we’ve been here this long.

Over the weekend we shopped at Nipilito to select new sinks and faucets for our bathroom and the family suit.  Since Antonio is working on the cabinet for under the sinks, next we will need to go to find granite.  Our guy Isaac hasn't responded to my texts.  I hoped the shop might have moved to a new location but now I fear they simply did not make it through the pandemic.  Where will we go instead?  I'll ask Roger.  I remember him talking positively about their granite selections.

No cook Sunday works here just as it works in Green Bay. We went to Peter's for breakfast and later had leftover moussaka for dinner.  I did start some no-knead bread but that hardly counts as cooking.

The Lions managed to beat the Vikings today.  This was noteworthy for two reasons:  1. The Lions were 0-10 going into this game.  That the Vikings fell to the previously winless Lions was quite a feat. And 2. The Packers had a bye this week.  The beat-up players needed a break to heal but fans, at least these two fans in Celestun, needed a break too.  This is the first weekend that we’ve spent in Celestun since we’ve been here.
