Last full day in Cat Ba and we set out for a day on the water. With an 8am pick up, our day began in Ha Long Bay with sites set for Lan Ha Bay. Boating, kayaking, visiting floating villages and exploring caves defined our day with just a handful of other tourists. Our tour guide, Ryan, may have been the first Vietnamese person we’ve met with an Australian accent.
We docked just before sunset. We were the oldest people in our group when we were on the ferry a few days ago coming to Cat Ba Island and, in that same vein, we were the oldest on the boat today. I'd say we still held our own in the fun department.
