Sunday, 16 July 2023: Curley Lambeau’s childhood home

 

After a week of working in the yard and then working on recovering (and baking bread), we welcomed Rudolfo and his girlfriend Judy. They’d come from Mérida to Milwaukee for a Harley Davidson fest and then travelled on to Green Bay to see us.  

Of course they’d head to Lambeau for a stadium tour and the Packer Hall of Fame. It sure was good to visit with them. After drinks at our house, Justin lead an abbreviated local tour that included City Stadium, Curly Lambeau’s childhood home, Bay Beach, Green Bay Yatcht Club and Paradise North Distillery were on the list before stopping for a bite. 

Dinner at Kohl’s was not memorable. Yes, it’s a Green Bay icon, but maybe it’s just not for me. 

As an added bonus, AnneMarie and her new beau were also at Kohl’s so we did get to meet Del.  We will stay tuned for more details from them.
