Sunday, 9 November 2025: Casa Colibri

And now, after a moment of flurry, it is back to just Justin and me.  I like it.

Neli came to clean a couple of days ago.  Bless her heart.  Lots and lots of gecko poo can accumulate in an unused room in the course of six months and now it is all gone.

We came home to a slow leek in a bottom kitchen cabinet.  Ivan came yesterday to repair that and to get ready for when Antonio and his crew come next week.

And guests.  Last week at Bostons, Justin and I met Diego.  Diego calls himself a “white Mexican”.  Apparently, and I’ll need to do some more research here, white people lived among the Maya in pre-Columbian times.  Diego is one of those descendants.  He’s a contractor in Mérida, and Justin invited he and his family, Michelle, nine year old Deli and their two chihuahuas.  They came Saturday morning, we putzed around the house before lunch at La Palapa.  Afternoon drinks at Casa Porifiro before a great swim, my first of the season.  Why have I waited so long?  A quick nap before we ended our day with dinner at El Lobo.  Today, we enjoyed breakfast at Peter’s before the boys settled in for football.

Now, they are on their way back to Merida (we will see Diego at Boston’s tomorrow night) and Abraham is enjoying his time off, leaving Justin and me in the house alone.

WOW!!  Texas A&M is 9-0!!!  WOW!!!
