We’ve decided to leave 2 April. We will meet our goal of staying here through Semana Santa (the week before Easter).
Work is winding down as we want to be able to enjoy the last bit of timevhere without work going on in the house. Justin has finished El Senor de La Casa; Ricardo has finished painting the front gate and is now sealing the roof; Ivan and Jona will never be finished but they’ve connected the sink in Dellene’s room. The talavera one we bought doesn’t really work so we are going a different route for now rather than buy a new faucet; Yoni and Santos filled in the shower in el bano principal. Renovating that bathroom will be top of the hit parade when we return in the fall.
Justin and I are making sure we enjoy the beach and sunsets as much as we possibly can. Yes, it’s hot enough for two showers each day but that also means it’s often two-a-day for the beach! Goodness I love retirement!!!
I had my celebratory crab claws while Justin enjoyed a lobster dish at La Palapa. We always enjoy visiting with Edgar, our favorite waiter there.
