Tuesday, 14 March 2023: Millway Drive

No place I’d rather be tonight than at Dellene’s house.  Even though she’s not here.  She’s in the Dominican Republic for Chris’ wedding.  All 14 of them:  Dellene; Chris, Branson and Kara; Kim, Brandon and their five kids; Kara’s parents; and Paul. (No thanks)

We left the Zar Hotel in San Luis about 6:30 this morning and here we are at Dellene’s well before midnight.  Nine days and 1813 miles later we are home.  One more trip to and return from Mexico without event.  Yes, God was watching over us and provided safe passage.

One memorable site was unfortunately, an overturned tractor-trailer truck.  Produce spilling onto the streets and dozens of people were collecting all they could carry.  Made me wish I’d taken videos.

All Zar hotels are not created equally.  The Zar Hotel in Merida is one of our regular stopping points.  We find that it has everything we need and there are no surprises.  The Zar Hotel in Coatzacoalcos was the first one in the chain we visited several years ago.  Last night we were in the Zar Hotel in San Luis Potosi; we won’t need to go back there ever again…so disappointing.

My key to our Kia doesn’t work anymore.  Had this happened earlier in the winter we might have been in a pickle.  It was an easy stop at the Kia place in RoundRock and I was on my way.

Aaron Rogers IS holding the football world, particularly the Packers and the Jets, hostage as he still hasn’t announced his decision.  I’m growing weary of his drama
