Good idea for all those old boards out beside the garage? |
After a short week on our boat we took the USS Badger back to Wisconsin. I really do like ferries. The cable on one of the out-drives is broken so we can’t take the boat out so we just hung. A bit of cleaning and organizing. Our respite was interrupted when we heard from Brian— he’s purchasing a boat and wants his slip back now. Yes, right now. Actually 30 June and that’s just not possible as we have doctor appointments etc in Green Bay. Justin is scrambling to find an alternative for Purr.
Meanwhile we had a doozy of a storm in Montague. I was a bit uneasy in the night in the height of the storm and the following morning my fears were validated when we were without electricity. And, … wait for it… the following morning when we left for the ferry, the electricity was still out. (We are not in Mexico but it sort of feels like it.) The power company had originally predicted we’d be back in business by 5:30 pm, but, more than 30 hours later, we left town. Yes, we’d planned to leave today anyway but it makes for a good story.
We planted hydrangea in Brussels. They were healthy but never bloomed. AnneMarie gave us this one last year and it is thriving and the blooms make me smile! |
