Another birthday for me. I’d asked to go to a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club. Justin suggested the Union hotel — a Quintessential supper club. The hotel opened in 1883 and most of that time it’s been owned and operated by the same families. It was grand just to look at all the old pictures displayed throughout. The end of the civil war, the founding of the Packers in 1919, Prohibition in the ‘20s. Dinner was great too!
The last few weeks have been filled with working in the yard, working upstairs, hanging out and, oh yeah, we got a new car. We’ve spent entirely too much time in the car world for my liking lately but I do quite like where we ended up. We now have a cute Ford Escape Hybrid sitting in the driveway alongside our really cute all electric Hyundai Kona.
We also had a couple of blind salespeople come by the house to give us quotes on new blinds for the living room and the dining room. No, they were not blind. Also had a granite guy come out to rework the granite behind the new stove and of course that project grows if we move the dishwasher to the other side of the kitchen… how long is a string.
We went to training camp a couple of times…it may just be a good year to be a packer fan. I bought new Packer tennis shoes and Justin bought new Packer slides so we are set for the season.
