Yes, we found a new home for Keken. And they aren't going to make cochinita pubil out of her? Actually, Legia found her a new home. At first, we thought she was going to go to Tetiz to live with a man almost like a support animal but she ended up in Celestun with another piggy for companionship. Goodness!
It took them three tries to get her The first day, two guys showed up with a trici and not even a rope. Abraham lured her to the trici but she wouldn't get aboard.
Day Two, Abraham was gone and two more guys showed up, today with a rope and some boards to box in the back of the trici. Still, she wasn't cooperating. I'd heard the saying about squealing like a stuck pig. I never really knew what that meant until this experience.
Day Three, we got Laura to come out to assist. We thought she was sedating her, but we later learned it was more like anti-anxiety medication just to get her to chill. Whatever it was, it worked! It still took everyone who was there, a rope, the boards, and a blanket. And now she's down the street and happy. And we are happy too!!! When I asked Laura how much we owed her, she said $200. She said she wasn't doing this for the money but for the experience. I gave her $500 MXP.
